He was a little stinker for the tech... super sleepy and covering his face with his arm or legs or foot.... whatever he could get up there at the time!! She would consistently jostle him a little to try and move parts away from his face and he would just flip the other way and replace something else over his mouth!! Needless to say, it took a little while to get him to cooperate.... on the up side... we got LOTS of pictures of him (arm and feet over mouth and all)... so that was neat!!
Here are some shots of him from yesterday:
His chubby foot! |
Probably the clearest shot we got of his little face... we are so in love! |
Another shot of his face |
There are many more, but they kind of all start to look the same after a while, so I thought I would just post our favorite three!
We then met with the Dr... she was impressed with his stats (being that he is a two vessel cord baby, we kind of expected him to be on the smaller side), but NOPE!! He is weighing in currently at almost 4.5 lbs!!! Maybe mommy eating all day and night has something to do with this?? :) Either way, we were thrilled to hear that he will probably be around 6-7 pounds.... perfect weight! His head, tummy, heart, brain and stomach were all measuring perfectly for his gestational age, so we were very happy about that! His legs are a little behind schedule and his head is a little ahead, but it should all even out in the end!! All within range, so we will take it!
Dr. F measured my oxygen levels and blood pressure (all normal) and then proceeded to tell us that we should be prepared to have him anytime after 35 weeks... aaahhh!! She said that she will not stop contractions once they start (after 35 weeks) so we should think about packing our bags and getting the carseat installed in the next two to three weeks.. crazy! Looks like Rowan is head down and shouldn't be moving anytime soon, so we are not scheduled at this point for a c-section... but if he gets too big, maybe!
As of right now we are on schedule for a beginning of October birthdate, although she will induce him at 39 weeks if she need to for any reason (end of September). As of right now, we are just excited to meet this little man is no more than 7-8 weeks (maybe less!)... can't believe it!
Looking forward to our birthing classes next week and our next Dr.'s appointment the following week!
