39 Weeks... Will we meet him this week??

39 Weeks!! Cannot believe that we might meet our little love at the end of this week... it seems so surreal, and I feel like I've been pregnant forever!! :) I can say I am officially "cooked" and am so hopeful that we get the go ahead at our Dr. appt this week!! We are so excited!!!

This Week:

- Not much to finish! We are totally ready! (Well atleast with all the baby gear ;)!)

- Plannning out meals for when we come home from the hospital, Tyler gave a tentative "time off" work notification for about a week after he is born, will be so helpful!

- Going to get carseat inspected in one hour!! (Maybe a little last minute.. haha)

- Rowan has dropped some more and is weighing in at a little over 7 lbs... I think that means it's time to come out!! :)

- Cravings: Pretty much anything, all the time.... so hungry!! 

Total Weight Gain Mom- 25-27 pounds!!

Total Weight Gain Dad- I'm guessing 0.. lucky guy has an amazing metabolism! He might have even lost a few!! :)

39 Weeks

38 Week Dr. Visit

Today was our last ultrasound!! We had to wait around forever to get in... apparently there are a lot of Fall babies coming into this world... but it was great to be able to see Rowan again!! Since he is so big now, the ultrasound was so difficult to see... I could kind of make out hands and feet, an elbow and spine.... and even some little fat wrinkles on his tummy... so cute!! We really couldn't see his face, little stinker STILL has a thing with covering it up with his hands and feet... but the tech assured us that all his parts are there and that he is growing at just the right rate!!

His head is now measuring on schedule (it was ahead before), his tummy is about 2 weeks behind, but she said plus or minus three weeks is normal, so that's good! His legs I guess are still considered short, but... they will grow! Tyler and I both have long legs, so hopefully he will someday too!! He is right on track and we are so thankful for that!

He is currently weighing in at a whopping 7 lbs 1 oz! Little guy, well average and we are thrilled that he put on the weight! They estimate he will be about 7.5ish at birth.. perfect!! We are just so excited to meet this lil man!

My Dr. visit went well, I am now almost 80% effaced and almost 1cm. dilated... so we are making some headway here!! My Dr. thinks we will be able to go ahead with the induction next Thursday, which means we will probably meet our little man by the end of next week!!! We can't believe it! Crossing our fingers that all goes well at our visit next Thursday and we can get this show on the road!! :) The aches and pains have taken over my body and I am just so ready to meet him!

38 Weeks

38 weeks!!! I am really slowing down and feeling the weight of this pregnancy.. but we are just so excited to meet little Rowan in 2 weeks or so!! Can't believe he could come at anytime, we are ready!! If all goes well, we can expect to see our little man even before October!! We shall see!

This Week:

- Bought hospital snacks... gotta have those right??!!

- Finished folding all his tiny clothes and hung in closet

- Packed diaper bag with all his goodies for hospital, picked cutest going home outfit thanks to my friend Molly from my shower... hope it fits!

- Excited for Friday to see how big he is!

- Weight Gain- 25 pounds!! 

- Cravings- baked goods, fruit, sandwiches (veggie of course!)

- WE LOVE HIM!!

38 Weeks

37 Week Dr. Visit

Went to my Dr. appt this appointment in hopes of some progress, but NOPE!! Our little man is being stubborn and although things have progressed a teeny tiny bit, we have slowed down quite a bit, little booger! As long as he is happy and healthy, I am OK with his staying in as long as he needs to, but please Rowan make your debut sooner than later so this momma can be mobile again!!

So, we are scheduled again for next week.. I am excited about this appointment, because it should be an ultrasound so we can see him and get an estimate on size and weight, exciting!!!

Our Dr. is still pushing for about a week early delivery... if my body cooperates, it would be easier on me since she doesn't want him getting too big and risk for C-section, as well as my breathing capacity is pretty diminished at this point. We might have a September baby!! I am ok with either month, I love them both! I will know more next week as far as our next steps and what we have decided to do... we are so ready!

Other than that, nothing too exciting!! We have finished shopping for our little bean and set it all up.... I am so excited to see him in all his tiny clothes and use all his tiny toys! My last Dr. appt (if all goes well) should be the 26th... if not, we will be going into October, but she won't let me go past my due date, so I know we will get to meet our little man before October 5th.... :)

Baby Shower-- September 9,2012

Yesterday was my baby shower for Rowan and it turned out really well!! My sisters and mom put together a plane themed shower, and all the details were so cute! I even got to take home the decorations to put in his nursery!! Lots of friends and family showed up to celebrate and we all had a really great time! Thanks to Arcadia Farms for having us at their location!! Here are some pics from the day:

37 Weeks--- FULL TERM!!!

We made it to full term!!! We are so excited to meet Rowan in just a few short weeks!! Can't believe how fast it is coming!

This Week:

- Had my baby shower yesterday, so much fun, such a great turnout... cute decorations and TONS of fun and adorable baby stuff to take home for little Rowan! He is super spoiled!

- More washing and putting away of the clothes, he has lots now!

- Organizing his toys, diaper bag, etc. so it's all done when he arrives!!

- NOT SLEEPING!! Very sore, contractions, really hard to get comfortable when I sleep... I need some serious naps!!

- Excited to see how much further along we are on Thursday at our Dr. appointment.. she is still thinking we will deliver him early!

Cravings-- sweets, sweets and more sweets!

27 Weeks

36 Week Dr. Visit

We are at the Dr. every week now til our lil man is here!! We are so excited!! Today was an easy exam since there was no ultrasound for another two weeks. Our Dr. told me that I have only progressed a little since last week, but still in the range of where I should be for almost 37 weeks.

Rowan's heartbeat was a little elevated, since he is so darn active (!!), but came back down to the 160 range, which she said is great! We are so happy that he is doing well and that he has no major ailments! He is definitely taking up all the room I have to offer at this point, making it really difficult for me to breathe, my Dr. thinks that I might not make it 40 weeks... possibly inducing me at 39... it's too hard to tell at this point, but she is going to see how big he gets and how I'm progressing and will make the call in the next two weeks! This would be a huge relief, with having asthma and an already diminished lung capacity, it has been really hard these past two weeks or so. We are ready!

Also got my flu shot today... I don't normally get one, but this one is pregnancy safe and will help protect Rowan too, so of course I said yes! It wasn't too bad!!

Other than that, pretty much just laying low!! Have my next appointment to check progression next Thursday and then the following Friday for our last ultrasound to see his size! We are so excited to see him again!

36 Weeks

One more week til full term!!! Can't wait to meet our little man!! Hoping these next three-four weeks go by fast!!

This Week:

-finished packing hospital bags!! We are ready to go.... well minus snacks, must shop for those this week

- Diapers came in! Wrong size! UGH! Have to call company and tell them I need newborn!

- Shower this weekend, so excited!!

- Tyler installed carseat in Acura, we can officially have a baby now!

- Dr's appointment every week now... have one on Friday

- Up 23 pounds so far!! My body is so tired from hauling all this weight around!

- Not sleeping... well haven't for months, now I get about maybe 4 good hours each night (YES, I know this is going to be the same thing when he is here all you moms out there!!)

- Not fitting in ANY of my clothes!! I am going to make it three more weeks though without buying anything!

- Staying close to home... Dr's orders after my shower this weekend, she thinks I will deliver early, so I don't want to be too far away from hospital! So exciting!

- Cravings: Peanut Butter and Jelly

- Apples, grapes and strawberries

- Any kind of baked good! :)
